Massage Therapy

How Can Massage Help?

Massage therapy is an effective way to relieve muscular tension, reduce pain and support your body’s natural recovery processes. Modern lifestyles often place significant strain on our muscles and joints, whether through long hours at a desk, repetitive movements, physical work, sport or everyday stress.

Our highly qualified massage therapists use a range of techniques tailored to your individual needs, helping to ease tight muscles, improve flexibility and restore normal movement. Treatment may also be combined with stretching and self-care advice to help prevent problems from returning.

Massage has been shown to provide a number of benefits, including reducing stress and promoting relaxation, relieving muscle tension and soreness, improving circulation, supporting recovery from injury, enhancing sleep quality and contributing to overall wellbeing.

Whether you are recovering from an injury, managing a long-standing musculoskeletal problem, or simply looking to reduce the effects of stress and poor posture, our massage therapists are here to help you feel and function at your best.

What to Expect at Your First Massage Appointment

If you are new to Newbury Chiropractic Centre, we will ask you to complete an online registration form before your appointment. This provides us with important information about your symptoms, medical history and general health, helping us ensure that massage therapy is safe and appropriate for you.

At your first appointment, your massage therapist will discuss your symptoms and goals, before carrying out an assessment of the affected area, including your posture, movement and muscle function where appropriate. This allows us to gain a clear understanding of your condition and identify the best course of treatment.

If your therapist feels that further investigation or assessment would be beneficial, they may recommend a consultation with one of our chiropractors.

Once the assessment is complete, your therapist will explain their findings, discuss your treatment plan and answer any questions you may have.

Your massage treatment will then begin, tailored to your individual needs and designed to help reduce pain, ease tension and improve your overall wellbeing.
